Ministry Teams
The Music and Worship Ministry of First Baptist gives members the opportunity to offer praise and worship to God and to lead others in worship. We have a variety of ways for members to serve. Groups include:
Celebration Choir - The main worship-leading choir of the church. This group rehearses weekly, sings in all morning services, and presents several worship musicals each year. In addition, the Celebration Choir has recorded two CDs:

Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.
XTREME Youth Ensemble - Our middle school and senior high ensemble meets weekly to learn great worship songs to share with our congregation in worship. Each week, we study God's Word to learn how God wants us to worship Him and the impact it can make on our lives. They meet Sundays at 4:45 p.m. in the Music Suite.
Joyful Aires Choir - The senior adult choir functions to reach outside the walls of the church and to minister directly to shut-ins, nursing homes, and hospitals. The Joyful Aires Choir meets each third Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Music Suite. Rehearsal and Ministry times are followed by a fellowship meal.
Sonlight Singers and Preschool Choirs - meet the needs of our children. These two groups provide children the opportunity to sing, play, learn to worship each week. The Preschool Choir is designed for children age 3-5; the Sonlight Singers Choir is for children grade 1-5.
Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.
Ensembles - Another opportunity for members to offer praise. These two auditioned groups sing on a regular basis in worship and are available to sing in our community events. The Mixed Ensemble is made up of men and women; the Ladies Ensemble is for our Ladies.
Rehearsals are Sundays at 4:45 p.m.
Praise Teams - Our teams of lead worshippers. These teams lead worship in each service and in special worship events. This group is an auditioned group and rehearses Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.
Praise Band - Leads in each worship service. The band functions to bring freshness to our expressions of praise. The band also plays for some choirs and some soloists.
Rehearsals are Thursdays at 7:00 pm., and Sundays at 9:00 a.m.
Tech Teams - Our tech teams provide for the operation of all multimedia ministries, including audio, video, computer graphics, and lighting. These teams function together to present visual and audio expressions for our congregation in worship.
Banner Ministry - The banner ministry designs and produces beautiful tapestries of praise for our worship.
